Melanie Allen is a dedicated English educator with more than 20 years of experience. She taught for 17 years at Moon Valley High School, where she advised The Rocket Reporter and chaired the Language Arts department. After serving as Communications Director for Parents of Addicted Loved Ones, she returned to the classroom at Thunderbird High School, where she teaches AP Literature and English 10. A 2006 UC Berkeley journalism fellowship continues to shape her work. She holds a B.A. in Communications and an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University.
